We kicked off the Tuesday ride schedule in fine style. 2 of us set off from Barkers Pool & we picked up Ian on Psalter Lane. We thrashed out to Fox House - Ian decided to race the folk train all the way,we dropped down to Grindleford where we had time for a pint in the Maynard before the train turned up. It was packed but I got a seat. Ian arrived about the same time as the train, so we were able to have a drink and a chat with Jillian Creasy about Sheffield’s cycling facilities, all to the accompaniment of the Well Dressed Band. Ian set off for his ride home, we got the train back to Grindleford and enjoyed a quiet cycle back to Fox House where Ed set off for Intake & I headed back down the hill to Greystones.
Fairly uneventful ride back but 5 minutes up the hill out of Hathersage I realised I was running out of gas so I turned round and headed back to the petrol station for some sweets. 45 miles not bad for an evening ride in Feb, and the Lumicycle was brilliant!
